The difference between a food spray dryer and a food freeze dryer
With the development of technology, to ensure the quality and prolong the shelf life of produced food, more and more food manufacturers have started using two different kinds of machinery: food spray dryers and food freeze dryers. But people who start to contact this industry often confuse these two, so this article will explain the difference between a food spray dryer and a food freeze dryer.
(1) Food spray drying is done by spraying liquid material into the mist with special equipment so that it can be dried by contact with hot air. The working principle is that the air is filtered and heated and enters the air distributor at the top of the dryer, and the hot air enters the drying chamber in a spiral shape evenly. The liquid is sprayed into very fine mist-like liquid beads by the high-speed centrifugal atomizer on the top of the tower (rotating). It can be dried into finished products quickly by contact with the hot air in parallel flow.
(2) Food freeze dryer uses the basic principle of freeze drying based on the three state water changes. Water has a solid state, a liquid state, and a gas state, and the three states can both convert each other and coexist. In the high vacuum state, using the principle of sublimation, the water in the pre-frozen materials, without melting the ice, directly sublimated to water vapor in the ice state, is removed to achieve the purpose of freeze-drying.
Therefore, the difference between a food spray dryer and a food freeze dryer is that there is a difference in the form of the dried material.
Nowadays, food spray dryer is widely used in producing soy protein, whole milk powder, skim milk powder, cocoa powder, milk substitute, instant tea, non-dairy creamer, and other foods. Due to its high viscosity, soy protein is not easy to be atomized. We specially designed the combined spray drying to help you reduce the investment and, at the same time can, achieve the relative requirements of the product. Welcome to purchase.
